What Niccolo collects

• Account information — your email address (or Apple ID sign-in), used to operate your account.
• Your voice, while in a session — audio is streamed to our speech services to power the live conversation with your coach.
• Session records — what you practiced, how sessions were assessed, and transcripts of coaching sessions, used to track your progress, schedule reviews, and improve coaching quality. Session transcripts are automatically deleted after 30 days; your progress, plans, and journal entries are yours and remain until you delete them.
• Content you provide — for example a job posting you paste in to generate a learning plan, events you add for preparation, or the city you optionally tell us you're based in (typed by you — we never read your device's location), used to make job-posting and news recommendations local to you.
• Coach notes — during a conversation, Niccolo may note a short fact you shared or asked it to remember (a colleague's name, an ongoing situation, a coaching preference) so future sessions know you better. Every note is visible in Account Settings → "What Niccolo remembers," where you can delete any of them at any time. Notes are separate from session transcripts (which still auto-delete after 30 days) and persist until you remove them.
• Personalized news lookups — if you use the morning briefing, short search queries built from your profile (for example your job title, industry, company, or city) are sent to our news-search provider to fetch the day's headlines for you. The queries carry only those profile words — never your conversations, goals, or journal. If you ask Niccolo to go deeper on one of those stories, that story's web address is sent to a page-fetch provider that retrieves the article text for the conversation — only addresses from your day's curated list, nothing else about you.
• Research notes — when your plan includes a research step, or you ask Niccolo to look into something, the question (and a few words from your profile, such as your role or company) is sent to our web-search provider, the pages it finds are retrieved through our page-fetch provider, and an AI model summarizes them into notes with their sources. We keep short summarized points and the source links — not the pages themselves. Your research notes and the takeaways you add stay in the app until you delete them (Me → Research).
• Usage and diagnostics — session length, feature usage, and performance measurements, used for reliability and fair-use limits.

What Niccolo doesn't do

• No advertising, and no sale of your data — to anyone, ever.
• No use of your conversations to train third-party AI models.
• No collection beyond what the coaching service needs to work.

Who processes data

Niccolo runs on Amazon Web Services, and live sessions use speech and language providers (speech recognition, language model, and voice synthesis) as data processors on our behalf. They process your session audio and text to deliver the service — nothing more.
